Another Iconic Moment Nyovest Fills Up Mmabatho Stadium
December 3 was a memorable day for South African music and for Cassperper Nyovest, the rapper who hosted his fill-up event at his hometown in what I called the Fill-Up Mmabatho Stadium.
It was a memorable return to what he loves doing. The songster had to stop the fill-up campaign in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. But with the scare clearing up a bit, he had gone back to entertaining the Rainbow Nation with his stadium-filling adventures.
This year’s was particularly memorable for him because it was the first time he would host the fill-up event in his hometown. And by his own admission, it was a massive success despite all the challenges that would have truncated it.
Grateful for how he managed to pull off the massive event, he shared his thoughts on Twitter while also noting he wants to come back for another fill-up event next year. You can check out his tweet below.
The event would have had DJ Sumbody as one of the performers, but the songster was murdered days before the event. But then Cassper Nyovest made it a poi t to honor him by closing the event with a tribute performance to the slain muso.
